Central Motor Service Ltd is one of a group of three companies in Kenya that deals with the sale and repair of motor vehicles. Established in 1977, we have the experience and knowledge to provide you with a reliable and professional service that caters for all your vehicles needs.

At CMS, we pride ourselves on doing everything in house from a simple oil change to complete engine overhauls, panel beating, re-spraying, upholstery, wheel and tyre services, engineering and fabrication to name but a few. We are well equipped to satisfy your every need with a 7000 square foot workshop, a fully equipped wheel and tyre centre, car upholstery section, headlight beam setting equipment and a recovery truck. We have a modern reception area for you to wait while your car is being serviced and provide a free pick-up and delivery service for all cars being serviced with us.

Our History

Central Motor Service Ltd is a 4th generation family business that was originally founded in Kericho under the name of Central Garage in 1946. We eventually moved to Nairobi in 1977 where we have been dealers for DT Dobie, CMC, Simba-Colt and Toyota Kenya.

In 1996, we were appointed the main franchise holders for Citroen vehicles for Kenya. This benefitted us with international management skills and standards as well as technical expertise to cater for customers’ every need regarding their vehicle.

After more than 65 years in the motor industry, CMS has expanded its operations to cater for all services needed for a vehicle and continues to provide a good, professional service for all its customers.

Mechanical Repairs

Servicing your car is one of the most important things you can do to maintain its performance, safety and fuel efficiency.

We at CMS, undertake all forms of mechanical repairs from a simple oil change to complete engine overhauls.

Panel Beating & Re-spraying

With over 65 years of experience in auto-body repair, we carry out all forms of repair work from minor cosmetic scratches and dents to severe accident damage on all makes and models of cars of both saloon and heavy commercial vehicles.

At CMS, we strive to carry out all our services in-house and as a result have a fully fledged tyre centre offering:

• Computerised wheel balancing
• Electronic wheel alignment
• Puncture repair
• Tyre fitment

Upholstery & Re-cushioning

At our vehicle upholstery divison, we manufacture seats and folding seats and also carry out repairs, re-cushioning & re-upholstering of seats.

We also carry out foam repairs, replace broken springs and can weld broken seat frames if required.

Beam Setting

At CMS, we have a specialised Crypton © headlight aligner to make sure that your vehicles’ headlights can be aligned effectively.

This will help to maximise the illumination of the road ahead without blinding the drivers of oncoming vehicles.

Engineering & Fabrication

We undertake engineering and fabrication work such as the manufacture of:
